FAQ

What is “Extrusion”?

"Extrusion" refers to a processing method in which polymer particles are heated and plasticized into a melt by an extrusion screw, then pushed backward with the screw and continuously passed through a filter screen, gear pump, and die to make various flat products or semi-products.

The main body of the extrusion equipment is the extruder and die, in addition to the auxiliary equipment in the rear section such as feeding, oven, cooling, pull off the unit, cutting, and winder unit. In actual production, the main body and auxiliary equipment are often connected to form a unit, which is convenient for operation and recording. The extruder is divided into a single-screw extruder, twin-screw, and multi-shaft extruder according to the number of screws.
